Tara Natalia - Festival Director
Tara Natalia is a filmmaker and producer. Her artistic practice explores dramatic stories through a mix of experimental analog film and digital moviemaking. Her latest directorial project, This Is My Face, uses a combination of digital footage, Super 8mm, scratch film, and film painting to tell the story of a woman struggling to conceal severe adult acne. Her recent producing acheivements include the feature film, Fortescue, which is currently screening on a Canada wide tour. Her work has screened at Rendez-Vous with Madness, Northwest Fest, Forest City Film Festival, and Broken Film Festival.
Alex Hanson - Programming Director
Alex Hanson is a writer and story editor. He began his film career as an actor, but quickly realized the fun stuff happens behind the camera. Alex has since written four feature screenplays, one of which earned him a quarterfinalist spot in the Screencraft Horror Screenplay Competition. He focuses on bringing compelling human stories to the horror genre and finding narrative structure within the chaos of experimental film. He has story edited a number of short films, including Missing by Midnight, Love and the Art of Despair, and most recently, This Is My Face. Alex has also been credited as an associate producer on Rebeccah Love’s debut feature film, Fortescue.
